Heat Press Instructions

Thank you for choosing CSS Printing for your DTF Transfers. Follow these instructions carefully to achieve the best results and long-lasting durability.

Recommended Heat Press Settings

Temperature: 300°F - 325°F (149°C - 163°C)
Pressure: Medium to Firm Pressure
Press Time: 10-15 Seconds

Settings may vary slightly depending on your heat press and garment type. Always perform a test press when using new materials.

Application Instructions

Step 1: Pre-Press the Garment

Pre-press your garment for 3-5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

Step 2: Position the Transfer

Place the DTF transfer in the desired location with the design facing upward.

Step 3: Heat Press

Press at 300°F - 325°F for 10-15 seconds using medium to firm pressure.

Step 4: Peel the Film

Allow the transfer to cool completely, then slowly peel the carrier film.

Step 5: Final Press

Cover the design with parchment paper, butcher paper, or a Teflon sheet and press again for 5-10 seconds to improve durability and finish.

Recommended Fabrics

DTF transfers work great on:

✔ Cotton/Poly Blends
✔ Tri-Blends
✔ Performance Fabrics
✔ Canvas & Tote Bags

Washing Instructions

For maximum durability:

  • Wait 24 hours before washing.

  • Turn garments inside out before washing.

  • Machine wash cold.

  • Use mild detergent.

  • Do not use bleach.

  • Tumble dry low or hang dry.

  • Do not iron directly on the transfer.

Important Notes

  • Heat presses are strongly recommended for best results.

  • Household irons are not recommended.

  • Always verify temperature accuracy on your heat press.

  • Test settings before large production runs.
